¡Bienvenidos! Whether you are a friend, family member, or stranger, I'm happy to have you here. For those of you who may not know, I am about to embark on my biggest adventure yet - I will be spending my Spring 2024 semester abroad in Madrid, Spain! As a sophomore nursing student, I will not only be taking my nursing classes in Madrid, but also my first round of clinicals! Studying abroad has been a dream of mine since middle school and it's crazy to think that it will become a reality in a few short days. I've decided to write about my future travels and experiences in Madrid and the rest of Europe (and possibly Africa...) as a way to hold myself accountable in keeping my parents up to date on what I'm doing;) But, also, as a way for me to look back on this monumental moment in my life for years to come. I'm so excited to share what my future travels, classes, and life looks like for the next few months. With 18 credits, and 2 (maybe 3) full suitcases, I can't wait to see what's in store. So, with that being said, buckle your seatbelts everyone, because this adventure is about to take off on January 7th! ¡Hasta luego!

Bonjour! This weekend, I went to Paris! Going to Paris has always been at the top of my bucket list. During the trip, my friends Sarah Jane and Karly joined me! We got to the airport early for our 10 am flight and had some time to kill. What better time than for Karly and me to read our books on our phones. Karly and I love a good book. She finished three books this weekend because she cannot go to bed without finishing a book.  This happened way more often than you'd think... Once we landed, we had some difficulty getting into the city center, and Ubers kept canceling on us. Thankfully, we were able to get one and went straight to our hostel to drop off our backpacks.  By some miracle, we were able to check into our hostel two hours early! VISITORS!

It's been an exciting, exhausting, and hectic last two weeks because I had visitors (while also being in the middle of a stressful testing period)! As fun as it's been traveling to other countries for 8 weeks in a row, I was extremely looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces. First up, my boyfriend, Ryan! After picking him up from the airport, we met up with a few of my high school friends, Addie and Vika. Addie was visiting a friend in Seville and made a pit stop in Madrid! My friend Vika is from Portugal and was an exchange student my sophomore year of high school! The four of us got a few tapas and drinks to start off the week. Then, we checked into our Airbnb! Ryan and I were sharing an Airbnb with my friend Karly and her boyfriend Ben, who was visiting for spring break as well.  We dropped off our bags and went to the grocery store across the street to get groceries for the week.
